Objects as vital presences that move through the days, unchanged by the passing of time, companions of a life unfolding within the protective walls of a home. A daily life built piece by piece: furniture, vases, glasses, tablecloths—the entire repertoire of lived-in rooms is translated into an intimate narrative. This is the dimension in which Massimiliana Sonego moves. From this world of affections and memories she has drawn the subject of her painting, dismantling, reassembling, and fragmenting her surroundings into different forms, recomposed in a kind of aero-cubism.
“The object allows me to see the invisible and give shape to my thoughts.”
Massimiliana Sonego began her artistic path as a self-taught artist and later graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice. She lives and works in Conegliano Veneto (TV).
